Throughout my career I dealt with many different forms of metal processing. I have been designing in metal for quite some time now. My friends told me a long time ago that I should do something with my talent.

GROWING UP WITH METAL
As a little boy, I was already in touch with metal. My grandfather was the last blacksmith in his community. When I was about 12 years old, I had to choose which direction to follow at school, for me, there was only one possible choice, namely metalworking.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
My grandfather was known for his skill. He made all kinds of ironwork from forged fences to decorative pieces. For the local community, he shoed the horses and repaired the wheels of the carts with wheel tyres. These consisted of iron that was wrapped around the wood of the wheel of the cart in order to protect it.
